WHAT HYBRID CLOUD STRATEGY TO ADOPT ?
There are multiple possibilities for using Azure Stack Hub and the Hybrid Cloud. A Hybrid Cloud strategy based on Azure Stack Hub, SyselCloud and Azure will allow you to benefit from unparalleled flexibility and to make the most of all the technologies offered in the different types of Cloud.
If your strategy is to migrate your applications to the Azure Public Cloud but you are sensitive to the location and protection of your data, the choice of the Azure Stack Hub becomes obvious.
Linked to Azure, you get the same experience as Azure administration with the Azure Stack Hub's web interface being similar :
- No training required
- Data hosted in Switzerland in a datacenter
- Azure Stack Hub managed by a Swiss company
- Purchase your own Azure Stack Hub and store it in your datacenter or premises
From then on, your sensitive data is in the Azure Stack Hub but you keep certain applications that use it in Azure Public. This way, you benefit from the flexibility, speed of deployment and high processing capacity of the Public Cloud.
You can store your files and databases on Azure Stack Hub or on your Private Cloud and thus have full control over their location, management and backup. Then, on Azure Public, deploy your applications that process and access your data. User interfaces and client applications are less sensitive but require more or less variable, flexible and temporary computing resources.
WHAT IS THE EXPRESS ROUTE ?
Linking the Azure Stack Hub to your Azure Public Cloud environment or a Private Cloud allows you to allocate resources to short-term projects at a lower cost than if you were using your own data centre IT infrastructure. This way, you don't invest in equipment that you will only need temporarily and you benefit from the flexibility and Pay As You Use models of the Azure Stack Hub and Public Clouds.
It's rare that you handle large volumes of data on a regular and continuous basis. You have the option of running some of your big data analytics using public cloud resources and using the Azure Stack Hub to ensure data security and keep some of that sensitive data behind your own firewall.
You want to adopt a strategy based entirely on the Public Cloud but you wonder about performance, costs and stability ? A Hybrid Cloud strategy could allow you to gradually migrate to Azure Stack Hub or the Public Cloud. Put some of your workloads on a Public Cloud or a small Private Cloud. See what works for your business and continue to expand your cloud presence as needed.
