WHAT IS AN IT MAINTENANCE ?

Maintenance is a preventive action to ensure the sustainability of IT and communication infrastructures and to guarantee their security and reliability.

Every month, operating system and software publishers release updates and patches to correct security flaws that have been discovered. It is therefore essential to keep your infrastructure up to date in order to benefit from the latest security levels. In addition, updates to certain programs can also provide improvements and additional functionality.

SYSELCLOUD MAINTENANCE : OUR STRATEGY

During maintenance, we work on virtual machines hosted on our physical infrastructure (except for SyselVPC machines). We apply the updates published by Microsoft. These updates can be either security updates to fix vulnerabilities or updates to correct malfunctions or provide additional functionality.

Microsoft releases its updates every second Tuesday of the month, which is why maintenance is carried out on the first Thursday of each month. As a result, the updates we apply have been available for approximately one month, which ensures that they are reliable. These interventions are carried out in the evening between 8pm and 2am.
