SAP achève son premier système de comptabilité financière. C'est le point de départ d'un développement continu d'autres modules logiciels du système.

Changement technologique

Un examen approfondi de la base de données et du système de contrôle du dialogue d'IBM amène SAP à repenser son logiciel, ouvrant ainsi la voie à SAP R/2.

SAP emménage dans ses premiers locaux de la Max-Planck-Strasse, à Walldorf. Sa zone de développement, comptant désormais 50 écrans d'ordinateur, est enfin réunie sous un même toit.
